BIO

Being born on the cold, wet and windy Yorkshire coast was not his idea. The product of rationing and no TV. The phrase, Child Prodigy, was often heard around the house whilst he was growing up, and it is true, it has to be said, his brother really was special. Ran away to the Army, it was dangerous, so he ran home again to his first love, music. Spent the next ten years as a session player all over Europe performing for many different acts on record, radio and TV. He adopted photography through arrogance. As a musician he was constantly having his picture taken, he simply thought he could do better. Only later did he discover that he really was ugly; they were just doing their best! Studied Fine Art in Sheffield where he now lives and he lectures part time at Leeds Metropolitan University. In a world saturated by photographic images his aim is to make people stop and look that little bit longer, to engage in whatever narrative is being presented. His wish is to combine beauty with wit and intellect offering a contemporary approach with an eye on history.
